Indian Railway launches IRCTC tatkal ticket booking online registration services on mobile android application starts from 22 April (Wednesday). They use the IRCTC booking portal and have no special privileges. Further, they will charge exorbitant fees for booking a Tatkal ticket. How to book Tatkal tickets? What is Tatkal ticket booking opening time?

Tatkal booking opens for the selected trains at 10:00 am for AC classes and for non-AC classes at 11:00 am , one day in advance of the date of journey. You can either book Tatkal tickets over the counter in a railway station or at IRCTC website. A maximum of only four passengers per PNR can be booked for Tatkal tickets.

Tatkal tickets will be issued for actual distance of travel , instead of end-to-end , subject to the distance restriction applicable to the train. Tatkal seat or berth may be booked in multiple legs till preparation of charts.

Tatkal ticket cancellation and refund policy : No refund will be granted on cancellation of confirmed Tatkal tickets. For waitlisted Tatkal ticket cancellations , charges will be deducted as per existing Railway rules.
